She received the Crystal Simorgh for Best Supporting Actress at the Fajr Film Festival for her role in the film "Butterfly Swimming" (2019). She also won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Leading Actress for the film "Sleepwalker" (2021). Additionally, she was nominated for the same award for her performances in "Voices" (2008), "Crazy Rook" (2015), and "Anger and Commotion" (2015). Professional Life: Tanaz Tabatabaei holds a degree in theater directing from Tehran Azad University. She entered the acting scene in 2000 and completed an acting course at Hiva Film. After a month, she was selected to play a role in the TV series "Sacrifice." Her debut in cinema was with the film "Last Night I Saw Your Dad" (2001), directed by Rasoul Sadr-Ameli. Besides acting, she has been active in music and painting. She gained recognition for her role in the TV series "The Forbidden Fruit." In 2008, she was nominated for a Crystal Simorgh for the first time at the 27th Fajr Film Festival for her role in the film "Voices." Her abilities were further showcased in the film "Healing" (2009). In 2010, she played a significant role in the film "The Report of a Celebration," directed by Ebrahim Hatamikia, which was banned. In 2017, she won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 11th Iran Critics' Choice Movie Awards for her role in the film "Villas." Views: Tanaz Tabatabaei was one of 140 Iranian artists who openly supported Hassan Rouhani in the 2013 presidential elections. She was also among the artists who supported Rouhani in the 2017 presidential elections.
