Pegah Ahangarani (born August 23, 1984, in Arak) پگاه آهنگرانی : is an Iranian actress and documentary filmmaker. She is the daughter of Manijeh Hekmat, one of Iran's directors, and Jamshid Ahangarani, a cinema director. Life: Pegah Ahangarani made her debut in front of the camera at the age of 6 in the film "The Singing Cat" (directed by Kambuzia Partovi) in 1984. However, it was at the age of 15 that she shone brightly in her artistic career, receiving positive reviews for her role in "A Girl with Sneakers." She garnered numerous awards including Best Actress at the Cairo Film Festival, Best Actress at the World Image Festival, an Honorary Diploma at the Abadan International Social Film Festival, and Best Acting Performance at the Isfahan International Film Festival for Children and Youth in 1999. In her first directorial experience with her mother, Manijeh Hekmat, she played three different roles in the film "Women's Prison." The film won the Best Film and Screenplay Award at the 6th House of Cinema Celebration, and in 2001, Pegah, along with Baran Kosari, starred in the documentary "Our Time" about the presidential elections. In 2007, while filming "Green Fire" without a stunt double, she had an accident and fractured her spine, leading to her hospitalization for some time. She also has acting credits in films such as "The Expelled" and "Silk Road" directed by Mohammad Bozorgnia. "The Men Are Not Allowed In" and "Max" are among her successful comedy films where Pegah Ahangarani showcased her acting skills.
